A Taste Of Kythera - A Collection Of Yiayia's Greek Recipes

A Taste of Kythera: 'A Collection of Yiayia’s Greek Recipes’ is a library of my Yiayia’s traditional recipes from the Greek island of Kythera. From mezedes to sweets and everything in between, this book encapsulates the use of fresh produce grown on the island, transformed into everyday dishes.

The concept for this book was born knowing that these recipes were too important to be lost in time with my ancestors. They needed to be preserved so future generations of Kytherian descendants could turn to them and cook the same dishes their yiayiades once did. I consider this book an heirloom - something to be passed down through generations of Kytherian families, preserving and celebrating traditional Kytherian gastronomy for years to come.

Try making some of these Greek recipes in your kitchen and they will become home favourites:

  • Amaranth, zucchini and snake beans

  • Strapatsada - eggs with grated tomato

  • Rozedes - almond and honey sweets

  • Psarosoupa - fish soup

  • and so many others that you will fall in love with...
