Greek Mountain Tea
Greek mountain tea's scientific name is "Sideritis", the iron plant!
A caffeine-free tea, with anti-inflammatory, analgesic and antioxidant properties that have been known as a medicinal beverage since ancient years. It is, also, very high in flavonoids, which significantly provide protection to the cardiovascular and immune system. No wonder it is classed as a superfood these days.
This certified organic mountain tea grows in the Zagori region of the UNESCO World Geopark Network in Northwestern Greece, Ioannina. The unique microclimate, the high altitude and the purity of the environment create the highest quality of mountain tea found in Europe. And its taste, superb! "Beautiful buds, verdant and intact. It has clean flavour with a vegetal complexity and a full creamy taste. Long finish." Awarded 2 stars in the Great Taste 2018 Awards in London, UK.
